NORMAN, OKLAHOMA September 22, 2021 – Rain King Studios comic artist and writer Dirk Hooper is an artist guest for Oafcon 2021 in Norman Oklahoma. He will be offering three fine art prints of recent work, doing live artwork, and promoting Bad Candy Issue #3, which is currently available on Kickstarter.

Dirk Hooper returns to Oklahoma comic conventions as an artist guest for Oafcon 2021. It’s been a while since he’s appeared as a comic guest. “Most of my guest appearances as a comic artist were in the 90s, so it’s going to be fun to get back behind the table, interact with fans, and network again,” Hooper said. “It’s particularly special because this is Oafcon, which is a stalwart Oklahoma convention and focused solely on comics.”

Dirk Hooper will be offering three new 11”x17” prints of recent work. He’s also going to be promoting Bad Candy Issue #3, which is currently running a Kickstarter campaign. Hooper has contributed an illustration that is an alternate cover for that issue. He’ll also be representing Rain King Studios, which is the art collective including Robert Henry, Scott Prime, and Shawn Wilson, and focuses on comic art, illustration, and marketing consultation for independent comics.

Always in memory of Bart Bush, who ran the Oklahoma Alliance of Fans Convention (OAFCon) for many years, Oafcon is one of the oldest, purely comic book shows in the nation! Oafcon will run from October 2-3, 2021 at Embassy Suites, 2501 Conference Dr, in Norman, Oklahoma. More information about Oafcon is available at
