- First Look at Denis Villeneuve’s Dune
https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2020/04/a-first-look-at-timothee-chalamet-in-dune
This is the first look at Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides on his native planet of Caladan from this December’s film version of the novel, directed by Arrival and Blade Runner 2049 filmmaker Denis Villeneuve. The 1965 book was so seismic in its influence that its echoes still turn up in sci-fi and fantasy storytelling half a century later. Still, it has stubbornly defied appropriate adaptation itself.
Are you excited about the new Dune?
Did you see the David Lynch film? What do you think of that?
Have you read the book?
What about Alejandro Jodorowski’s version?
- Is the DCEU betting too big on Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam?
https://www.cbr.com/black-adam-warner-bros-betting-dwayne-johnson/
With a tentative December 22, 2021 release date, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s solo Black Adam movie has solidified its production schedule after nearly thirteen years of on and off development. If recent script and plot confirmations have revealed anything, it’s that the film is going to be jam-packed with heroes from all around the DC universe.
- Eldritch, USA
ELDRITCH, USA is a Lovecraftian horror/comedy/musical with bright visuals and witty dialogue juxtaposed with a dark story and horror tropes. This feature-length film delves into the themes of sibling rivalry, loss, and small-town/rural dynamics. The blending of genres sets it apart and appeals to fans of quirky cinema, in the same vein as LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, DR. HORRIBLE’S SING-ALONG BLOG, THE VOICES, and THE MUPPETS.
Siblings Geoff and Rich Brewer have competed all their lives for parental affection, career ambitions, and romantic pursuits. Rich, the elder brother, always came out on top leaving Geoff to struggle in his shadow. Tragedy strikes when Rich is killed in a freak accident. In a panic, Geoff seeks out a backwoods cult rumored to have brought someone back from the dead. The bumbling cult’s resurrection ritual initially solves his problem, but it soon becomes apparent that they have unleashed a sinister force on their unsuspecting, Midwestern town.
ELDRITCH, USA is a feature length, original screenplay with 12 original songs.

- Letters!
Pump
This is a truncated version of his letter, because he mentions a bunch of friends and asks questions that could be a whole segment later.
Esteemed Host,
Here are some notes I took during your maiden broadcast…
Are movie theaters the next mall? (Great segment on theaters)
Please stop marginalizing the Native Americans on this program.
Prequel that made a character better… Better Call Saul
The Adventures of Little Archie
Jim, talking about anything because he’s awesome.
Overall, very entertaining. I’m looking forward to more episodes.
Dirk’s Mom,
I just completed watching your podcast. First off, I have to reiterate that you and Scott still look like brothers from different mothers. It was obvious that you all knew each other quite well and could finish each other’s sentences.
It reminded me of the times we all got together at your apartment and Dad and I would get a kick out of listening to you all. I admire your ability and skill at ad libbing for two hours.
Ben Affleck is 55?? Where has the time gone? And Scott’s girls are l0 and 13, my word. They were babies the last time I saw them.
It was very entertaining even though most of it was Greek instead of Geek to me. I really enjoyed it.
Love,
Mom
